Airline Make Changes to Tucson's Only Mexico Route

Aeromar drops Mazatlán and will drop Los Mochis from its Tucson flight. Will add Culiacán to the route.

Another of Tucson International Airport's recently announced new flights is undergoing a change.

The airport's lone flight to Mexico will discontinue service in two of the cities on the route. One of the destinations will be replaced.

Aeromar's Tucson route has ended service to Mazatlán.

The route will no longer stop in Los Mochis after March 30. It will instead stop in Culiacán.

Once changes are complete, the route will service - in order on a Tucson departure - Hermosillo, Culiacán and Guadalajara.

The airport's other recently announced new flight has also undergone a recent change.

American Airlines announced a month ago that it would suspend its flight to New York City's John F. Kennedy International Airport between May and December.

The Tucson Airport Authority also announced an expansion for a flight between the airport and Chicago's O'Hare International Airport.

United Airlines' Chicago-to-Tucson route will now fly year-round. The flight had previously operated on a seasonal basis.
