Fast food workers will make a new public push for higher wages on Thursday.
The movement to raise wages at fast food chains began more than two years ago. Fast food employees in 160 cities, including Tucson, will protest for what they say is a living minimum wage of $15 an hour.
Since 2012, Seattle, San Francisco, and New York have increased the minimum wage. Now protestors want to see other cities follow suit.
Employees from McDonald’s, Burger King, Domino’s Pizza and other fast food restaurants in Tucson will gather at a yet-to-be announced location.
Local organizers say they expect more than 100 demonstrators to join.
