Listen:
Mitt Romney was in Tucson for a private, fundraising breakfast for Arizona Republican congressional candidates Martha McSally and Andy Tobin.
The three also appeared together at a mid-morning rally in Marana.
Romney said while the 2012 election didn’t turn out the way he wanted, he has a better feeling about 2014.
“The key thing this morning is to make sure 2014 is a big year for us and it is going to be for Martha McSally and Andy Tobin," he said. "We’re going to get them elected."
Romney appeared Thursday night in Phoenix with Republican gubernatorial candidate Doug Ducey.
Earlier this election season, former President Bill Clinton campaigned in Phoenix with Democratic gubernatorial candidate Fred DuVal.
Tobin is facing Democratic incumbent Ann Kirkpatrick in the 1st Congressional District, and McSally is going against Democratic incumbent Ron Barber in CD 2.
The general election is Nov. 4.
