Honoring the spirit of Mister Rogers through kindness

The 2024 Mister Rogers Sweater Drive brought in a record number of donations for TUSD and was the most successful in AZPM history.

AZPM partnered with Shaffer Dry Cleaning and Old Pueblo Moving & Warehouse to host a Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood Sweater Drive from October 13 through November 13, which was also National Cardigan Day and National Day of Kindness.

Donations of cold weather clothing, including new or gently used sweaters, hoodies, sweatshirts, and jackets benefitted our neighbors in the Tucson Unified School District. According to TUSD staff, the month-long effort was the “largest single donation drive" the district has ever seen, filling 27 boxes and an additional 50+ bags; enough to serve five TUSD clothing banks.
