On March 2, 2021, Arizona Public Media presented an interactive panel of experts from the University of Arizona Departments of Cellular & Molecular Medicine and Bioethics and Medical Humanism as part of a screening of the Ken Burns film, The Gene: An Intimate History.

Dr. Donata Vercelli, Professor of Cellular and Molecular Medicine and Director of the Arizona Center for the Biology of Complex Diseases at the University of Arizona.

Panelists

Dr. David Beyda, Chair and Professor in the Department of Bioethics and Medical Humanism at the University of Arizona College of Medicine-Phoenix.

Dee Quinn, Clinical Lecturer in the University of Arizona Colleges of Medicine and Pharmacy, board-certified genetic counselor, and Director of the newly re-established University of Arizona Genetic Counseling Graduate Program. Ms. Quinn was the Director of MotherToBaby AZ until 2017 and continues as a consultant.

Dr. Casey Romanoski, Assistant Professor of Cellular and Molecular Medicine at the University of Arizona with a Ph.D. in Human Genetics from UCLA.
