Screening of Rumble: The Indians Who Rocked the World during Library Night Out at Old Pascua

Library Night Out is a free community event hosted by the Pascua Yaqui Tribe of Arizona and Pima County Public Library. On August 24, AZPM presented a screening of RUMBLE, THE INDIANS WHO ROCKED THE WORLD at the Richey Resource Center, in Old Pascua Village in Tucson (near Grant and I-10).

Native American rockers Link Wray, Jimi Hendrix, Buffy Sainte-Marie, Taboo (The Black Eyed Peas), Charley Patton, Mildred Bailey, Jesse Ed Davis, Robbie Robertson, and Randy Castillo had a profound influence on American rock music. This Sundance Special Jury Award-winning movie documents the role of Native Americans in popular music history.

The event commenced with a blessing and traditional drumming followed by a presentation by Peter Yucupicio of "Sur Block," an old Pascua Village indie band.
