Watch the Library of Congress National Book Festival this Saturday

This Saturday, September 5th is the 15th annual National Book Festival in Washington, DC and AZPM will be showing a livestream of the event from 9am to 3pm.

Since 2001, an afflux of authors, readers, and publishers have assembled in Washington, D.C. to explore and celebrate the written word at the Library of Congress National Book Festival. This year, PBS will be livestreaming the event and you can watch it all here on AZPM!

Hosts Jeffrey Brown of PBS NewsHour and Rich Fahle of Book View Now will provide six hours of LIVE, on location coverage September 5th, 2015. The special coverage features interviews with prominent writers attending the festival including:

  • Historian and cultural icon David McCullough
  • Author and famed television journalist Tom Brokaw
  • Two-time Newbery Medal winner and current Ambassador for Young People's Literature Kate DiCamillo
  • Pulitzer Prize winning novelist, Marilynne Robinson
